The Northern Ireland Assembly is coming to a place near you! Find out more about the Assembly and take the opportunity to discuss local issues with MLAs and hear how the Assembly works for you.
Hosted by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr William Hay MLA, the evening will highlight the work of the Assembly. Award-winning political journalist Eamonn Mallie will host a discussion panel giving you the chance to ask MLAs about issues that affect you and your community.
The aim of the roadshows is to increase the public’s understanding of the role of the Assembly and to promote engagement. The roadshows will provide an opportunity for the public to gain a better understanding of how the Assembly operates.
Each roadshow will include
- A welcome from the Speaker, followed by a short video on the Assembly
- An informative but entertaining session on the work of the Assembly; and
- A “Lets Talk” style session with a panel of MLAs taking questions from the public, facilitated by an independent moderator. The panel will be made up of five MLAs.
