Teens spend 10 hours a week on the Net

According to the Belfast telegraph, it has recently been said that a significant amount of teenagers in Northern Ireland are spending about 10 hours a week on the internet.  This has been proven to be true as new research was carried out by Letts Educational revision website and their findings were that 77% often spend around 5 to 10 hours per week on the internet and from this research it has been shown that a third of this percentage has actually admitted to staying on-line for more than 10 hours a week.

This outcome is only understandable, as most schools in Northern Ireland are currently accessible to the internet, helping students to prepare for future exams. In relation to this Peter Stafford from letts educational said: “It’s clear that internet usage among teenagers has risen sharply over the last few years and while teenagers undoubtedly use the internet for leisure activities, the web also plays an important in extending their learning.
